Hawaii DOE | HIDOE students recognized with 36 awards during national STN media competition

WAIKIKI — Pupils from 13 Hawai‘i public universities won a whole of 36 national media awards — including eight initial-put awards — through the 2022 University student Television Community (STN) National Conference that was held above the President’s Working day weekend. STN, which aims to support, advertise and figure out excellence in scholastic broadcast journalism, filmmaking and multimedia, introduced the winners Feb. 21 for the duration of a hybrid virtual and in-man or woman ceremony from Extended Seaside, Calif.

HIDOE colleges gained 31 awards for work generated all through the onsite competitions. Moanalua Large College and Maui Waena Intermediate Faculty garnered the most prizes, profitable nine awards and six awards, respectively.
